Don Franzen
Don Franzen has handled and litigated real estate matters for over 35 years, including years of experience in title insurance, landlord/tenant and commercial real estate. He has several published appellate decisions to his name in real property law. In 1984 he won an appeal in a landlord/tenant case, Miner v. Nourafchan, that established the tenant’s right to object to eviction on the basis a rent control violation, and in 2005 he argued and won a seminal view rights case, Zabrucky v. McAdams, establishing the application of view protections to dwellings in the Marquez Knolls area of Pacific Palisades, California. In 2007, as lead counsel for several homeowners in the Castellamarre area, he defeated an attempt to invalidate the view rights protections for that community. He has been lead counsel both for builders and neighbors in numerous view rights cases in communities along the west Los Angeles coastline including Marquez Knolls, Castellammare Mesa, Palisair, Pacific Ridge and Sunset Mesa. Keith Turner
Keith Turner is one of the leading view rights attorneys in California, including having won a seminal case before the California Supreme Court, Tract 19051 Homeowners Association v. Kemp (2015) 60 Cal. App. 4th 1135. He has over twenty-six years of experience of representing property owners, title insurance companies, contractors, developers, landlords and tenants in all types of real estate and insurance related litigation, including neighbor disputes, view rights, HOA, CC&Rs, encroachments, easements, etc. He has successfully handled hundreds of neighbor vs. neighbor/view rights disputes, at trial, on appeal, and by settlement.
